[Mirayafm] Governemnt of South Sudan not yet decided on new date for census

The GoSS minister of
Information and Broadcasting, Gabriel Changson Chang, told Miraya FM GoSS
has not yet made up  its mind
to conduct the census  from
22nd April. He said the decision on the new date will be made by the
council of ministers in its session tomorrow, Tuesday.

 



 

The Sudanese Presidency Sunday
night proposed the new date of 22nd April following a GoSS announcement on
Saturday that the census origianlly scheduled to start on 15th April had
been postponed till later this year.

 



 

Mr Chang refused to speculate
on what the response of GoSS 
will be to the new proposal by the presidency.
